Here's the only link I found which makes reference to the operating system on the Cyber-shot.Its an older camera so I'm hoping someone here has some knowledge of whether or not there have been any attempts to hack it or success in doing so. I believe this firmware upgrade may be necessary to add on an in camera app capability? it says all Sony Alpha models are good but does not include it in the list of supported ( ). This hack seems like one that may work but its hard to tell from the documentation if the a3000 is compatible. I've found these links regarding firmware hacks on these two cameras but I'm not sure I understand them well enough to try them out yet.
